Nyomi Tarpley

Hi, my name is Nyomi Tarpley. I’m a biracial woman who identifies as she/ her. I am a Licensed professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I’m a lifelong learner and am very passionate about growth and learning as a therapist. I am trained in Gottman Method, Level 1 and 2, a type of Couples Counseling through the Gottman Institute.

I am an advocate for all human rights, women’s rights, LGBTQ and BIPOC communities. I’m here to validate and empower my clients to feel safe with their own body, discuss ways to improve both emotional and physical intimacy and find passion. I enjoy helping individuals and relationships of all types explore their sexual identity, work on healthy communication, conflict resolution skills, previous traumas, as well as help individuals find and keep passion and purpose.

I am experienced working with women’s issues like postpartum conditions, health or libido conditions as well as trauma, somatic and mood symptoms. My belief is that my clients are the expert in their own experience. I’m here to validate, encourage, challenge and empower clients to create a more fufilling and meaningful life.
